A year or more in oak rounds the Blue Weber agave into vanilla, dried apricot, and soft caramel on the nose, with baking spice and a touch of toasted oak underneath. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied — cooked agave still present but secondary to the barrel influence, with dark sugar, cinnamon, and a clean oak-spiced finish. Well-integrated for the price. Zumbador — hummingbird in Spanish — is a Jalisco-produced tequila with Texas roots, distributed heavily through the Dallas market. The Añejo sits at the top of the lineup, aged in American oak to NOM standards. Straightforward añejo that drinks above its category price.
