Australia 2014 is a limited edition Australian premium rum from the Transcontinental Rum Line series, which has matured on two different continents. It was made from fermented molasses. Distilled in Queensland, Australia using a pot still in 2014. It matured in an Australian tropical climate for 5 years in American oak barrels. The final 2-year maturation was completed in France in ex-cognac French barrels. After maturing, it was filled into bottles in 2021 with 48 % alcohol content. No added dye and sugar. The color is mahogany with brown highlights. Aromas of spices, fruits, cinnamon, molasses, wood. On the palate apples, mandarins, sage, herbs, and roses. The finish is long and oaky, with cherries, molasses, licorice, vanilla.
