The nose and palate of this whiskey are a beautiful balance of straight rye whiskey and world class caribbean rum flavors. Many finishes are too mild to notice, and others are so over the type it tastes like a blend of two different spirits. This release manages to thread the needle without being too subtle or over the top. The flavors are caramel, clove, nutmeg, spearmint, orange zest,  all mixed with a sweet blueberry muffin flavor. The mouthfeel is oily, and at this proof the finish lingers for what seems like forever! We were proud to add this goat to the herd, and we think you will be glad we did!
