Siembra Azul was founded by David Suro-Piñera and was created with the purpose of promoting education, health services and research in tequila production. The Blanco tequila is produced in the town of Arandas in the Highlands of Jalisco and is double-distilled with agave ranging from 5 to 8 years of age. The nose is a little musty but full of spice, black pepper, brine, fresh banana, rubber band, beeswax and vitamin C powder. On the palate the flavors are very enticing: earthy and sweet with notes of parsnip, sugarcane, pineapple, pear and hints of herb.
