Cooked agave, vanilla, and caramel on the nose, brightened by a touch of citrus. Butterscotch and toasted almonds on the palate, with light pepper, oak, and a touch of honey sweetness. Medium-long finish with lingering agave and gentle spice. Bottled at 44.5% ABV. ElVelo is produced from Valley (lowland) agave grown in the volcanic soils surrounding the town of Tequila — not highland agave. This gives the spirit a bolder, earthier character than typical highland reposados. Rested for approximately 5 months in ex-Jack Daniel's barrels. Produced at La Cofradia (NOM 1137). Additive-free. High value for its combination of production quality and terroir specificity.
