Matured in a solera system where younger whiskies are slowly added into older barrels over time, the Doc Swinson rye is bottled at 47.5% after an additional maturation in rum casks. A blend of mashbills aged 4-6 years in new oak and bottled without chill filtration. Never too sweet on the palate, the honeyed notes from the rum gently coat the spicy and herbaceous character of the rye, still shining through at 95 proof.
