The Frapin estate was established in 1270 and the family domaine and vineyards lie in the heart of the Grande Champagne cru of the region. This is an invigorating and complex cognac that should be sipped slowly, but is versatile enough and works in a variety of cocktails. Aromas of toffee and lime blossom on the nose, with a vanilla note from the limousine oak, and surprisingly a touch of leather which usually appears in much older Cognac. A special distillation over fine lees gives us a rich, round palate with dried fruit, cinnamon toast, and tropical spice and a finish that goes for miles.
