A bitter-sweet Italian liqueur created in Bologna in 1885 by alchemist and explorer, Stanislao Cobianchi. Amaro Montenegro’s distinct and well balanced flavor comes from 40 botanicals collected from around the world, using the same secret recipe since 1885. Mandarin oranges, cola, fresh coriander and white pepper aromas on the nose, with notes of orange zest, coriander, cherry, vanilla and clove on the palate that quickly turn from sweet to mildly bitter.
Nose: Tizer (British fizzy fruit drink), mandarin, cola cube sweets (candy) and fresh coriander with white pepper spice.
Palate: Initially sweet turning mildly bitter with orange zest, coriander, cherry, vanilla and clove.
Finish: Slightly soapy bitter citrusy finish.
