Black tea, wet tobacco, and barrel spice open the nose, followed by cooked agave, hint of chocolate, and woodsy nuttiness. The palate is rich with dark cacao, coffee, nutmeg, dried fruit, and salted caramel. A long, peppery finish with a buttery mouthfeel. Bottled at 48% ABV. A vintage-dated, single-estate anejo from the El Nacimiento ranch — the largest field owned by the Camarena family, situated at 2,150 meters elevation in Arandas. Agave planted in 2011, harvested in 2022 after an 11-year maturation at altitude. Aged for one year and one day in oak — the minimum for anejo classification — to preserve the highland terroir character. Produced by Master Distiller Carlos Camarena at La Alteña Distillery (NOM 1474). Certified additive-free.
