Warm buttered bread, caramel, and honeyed grain on the nose, with light chocolate and molasses underneath. The palate is soft and rounded — corn sweetness up front, creamy wheat texture, gentle rye spice, and barley's faint chocolate note, with brown sugar and citrus peel as it opens. Finishes smooth with caramelized oak, vanilla bean, and a quiet whisper of pepper. Bottled at 92 proof, non-chill filtered. Blended by Clinton Dugan from barrels sourced at two Kentucky distilleries: Wilderness Trail in Danville (64% corn, 24% wheat, 12% malted barley) and Green River in Owensboro (70% corn, 21% rye, 9% malted barley). Final aging takes place at Shortbarrel's Atlanta warehouse with no temperature control — Georgia's heat and humidity accelerate extraction and add layering. Combined mash bill works out to 65% corn, 20% wheat, 12% malted barley, 3% rye.
