NV Alvear “En Rama” Fino Sherry, Jerez, Spain

On the nose, this wine is intense, with dry aromas, hay, almonds, hazelnuts, a little burlap, but also a slightly bigger sweet-and-sour citrusy note.. Big yeasty notes, with hints of freshly baked bread. On the palate, it has a pungent attack, with plenty of olive brine and salty sea spray. Olives, lightly toasted notes, almonds, also a mineral touch. The savouriness and saline spikes are quite impressive. Wide, long finish, with a refreshing bitterness and herbal note.
