Annual, limited-release blended Japanese whisky from Mars Shinshu in Nagano, Japan. This is the distillery's core expression, Iwai Tradition, finished in Sakura casks (Japanese cherry blossom tree) for an additional 6 months. The base spirit, Iwai Tradition, is distilled from 70% malted barley and 30% corn, and aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The nose shows aromas of toasted oats, strawberries, and sweet cream which transition to a palate of pomegranate molasses, rosemary, and pink peppercorn with a lingering hint of cinnamon.
