Fresh aromatic oils hit first — orchard fruit, stewed pear, and apricot backed by a distinctly oily, pot-still richness. The palate is full and spicy, with buttered grain, green apple candy, honeyed oak, and a thread of dried fruit running through. Finishes long and malty, fading into soft citrus zest and toasted wood. Green Spot is produced exclusively for Mitchell and Son of Dublin by Irish Distillers at Midleton Distillery in County Cork — one of the last surviving grocer-bonded Irish whiskeys. Made from 100% malted and unmalted barley in a pot still, aged 7 to 10 years in a combination of bourbon (75%) and sherry (25%) casks. The Mitchell family has been bonding whiskey since 1887.
