Combier's story began nearly two hundred years ago at 48 Rue Beaurepaire in Saumur, where confectioner Jean-Baptiste Combier and his wife Josephine worked out of their own kitchen before his 1834 breakthrough with the world's first triple sec. The distillery still operates from Saumur today, using the same original copper alembics for its full range of fruit liqueurs, including this framboise, made from raspberries grown in the same Loire Valley region the family has called home since the 19th century.
