Dried cherry, cocoa, cinchona bark, and clove on the nose, with a full, structured palate that moves between sweet and bitter — plum and dried rose from the Barolo, then a quinine bitterness that lingers long and dry. Complex and deeply satisfying at 16.5% ABV. Barolo DOCG is macerated with botanical extracts — cinchona bark, rhubarb root, gentian, cinnamon, cardamom, citrus peel — and matured over an extended period. Cocchi's grapes come from Cascina Scarrone in Castiglione Falletto, a warmer Barolo subzone that adds opulence. Traditionally served at room temperature or gently warmed with an orange peel; pairs exceptionally with dark chocolate.
