Rose petals, citrus peel, and fresh ginger come through on the nose, with a mildly bittersweet palate built on cinchona, gentian, and vanilla. The Brachetto d'Acqui wine base gives it deep-pink color and a round berry character that softens the classic Americano bitterness. Fresh and invigorating finish. A variant on the Americano formula Giulio Cocchi created in 1891 in Asti, the Rosa uses a Brachetto d'Acqui base — Piedmont's aromatic red — in place of the white wine foundation, adding saffron, vanilla, and rose petals to the traditional cinchona and gentian mix. The color is entirely natural, derived from the wine.
