This non-filtered wine is produced from vines planted with 85% merlot, 7% cabernet sauvignon, 6% cabernet franc, 1% malbec and 1% carmenere. Emilien is obtained by a 2-year decantation in foudres and used barrels. A fruity nose with ripe red berry aromas, predominantly blackcurrant and redcurrant with burnt almond and occasionally mushroom and undergrowth. It boasts a round, full and delicate palate with velvety tannins and a long and pleasantly complex finish
