Powdered green tea leads the nose with a sweetness reminiscent of green tea mochi, giving way to a soft, herbaceous palate and an earthy finish.
Twelfth generation master distiller Miles Karakasevic spent five years of total development testing tea varieties before settling on a rare, first growth green tea from China's Anhwei Province, along the historic Silk Route. The tea is extracted over a 120 day process at Charbay's Napa Valley distillery and blended into the family's clear vodka, a project Karakasevic undertook specifically to bring the delicacy of green tea into a form that could be enjoyed in a martini or on the rocks.
