COS was set up in 1980 by Giambattista Cilia, Cirino Strano and Giusto Occhipinti. Three expert winegrowers who decided to name the winery using the first letter of their three last names. Since the beginning they have used organic farming and organic materials like clay amphoras. A very innovative company that has become a leading producer in Sicily. COS Nero di Lupo is a juicy wine with aromas of red fruit and spices and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced and very elegant. It reveals fine tannins, salty touches and a persistent finish. A wine with surprising verticality.
