Zweigelt and Pinot Noir Blend
Fresh strawberry and ripe cherry, backed by a chalky, stony minerality that keeps the fruit from tipping into candied territory. On the palate, juicy red berry fruit runs alongside a taut mineral spine, with the wine's brief eight hours of skin contact showing in its restraint — there's color and fruit weight here, but none of the tannic grip or richness a longer maceration would bring.
Groiss trained under some serious company before taking over the family cellars in 2010: stints with Domäne Wachau, Birgit Braunstein, and Birgit Eichinger gave her direct exposure to some of Austria's most precise, terroir-focused winemaking.
