Paraje Altamira is located in the heart of the alluvial cone of the Tunuyan River, at the foot of the Andes Mountains in the Uco Valley. Its calcareous and stony soils at 1100 meters above sea level allow for the production of fresh wines with character. Altamira is one of the places with the most history and wine culture in the Uco Valley.
Full-bodied, generous, and dark-fruited, this is a classic expression of Malbec, the admirable result of the winery allowing the grape and terroir to do the talking. The purity of the fruit is paramount. Pure red and black fruit, herbal notes, very good concentration, but with very good acidity. The herbs don't leave until the end, nor do the fruity flavors.
Fermented with 30% whole clusters and aged in concrete instead of barrels to keep the edges soft and prevent imparting oak flavors.
