Pale straw with brilliant green highlights. The nose is expressive and precise — bergamot, lime zest, and gooseberry layered over a pronounced stony, flint-driven minerality with a subtle green, vegetal edge. The palate is round and textured, with citrus pith carrying through to a clean, saline finish with lingering white pepper.
Cyprien Perchaud is a second-generation Loire Valley winemaker based in Sainte-Gemme-en-Sancerrois, the northernmost village of Sancerre. He trained in enology in Beaune under his uncles before striking out on his own. The 2023 was fermented in stainless steel and aged seven months on the lees, a deliberate choice to add weight without sacrificing the flinty character that defines the appellation. Eight hectares farmed organically. Pouilly-Fumé, Loire Valley, France.
