2021 Turley Zinfandel Ueberroth Vineyard, Paso Robles, California

Description: Considered by some to be one of the finest Zinfandels made by Turley, this wine is rich and concentrated. Ungrafted, head-trained vines planted in 1885, Ueberroth is the oldest of Turley's Zinfandel vineyards. This is a Zinfandel to hold onto for 5-10 years. The 2021 Zinfandel Ueberroth Vineyard has youthfully kaleidoscopic aromas of Morello cherries, peach and orange peel and nuances of wild mint, aniseed and potpourri. The full-bodied palate is bursting with generous, nuanced fruit. It has notable freshness and pleasantly chewy tannins, and it offers a layered finish. It's very expressive so far.
