Deep ruby with violet at the rim, this opens on sweet licorice, red bell pepper, and dark cherry — the unmistakable aromatic signature of the variety at its most expressive. The palate is full and generous with an herbaceous backbone, firm structure, and a finish that lingers cleanly.
100% Cabernet Franc from the Zavognza and Bukova vineyards, grown on ponca soil at 150–180 meters in the Collio hills of Friuli. The grapes are harvested late and macerated for roughly 20 days with manual pumpovers to fully extract from the skins, then aged until bottling the following summer or autumn. Gradis'ciutta received organic certification with the 2018 vintage — the culmination of a 10-year conversion on one of Collio's rainiest strips of hillside.
