The Loire Valley, and notably the wines of Cheverny, were the initial inspiration for the flavor profile of Béton, since its inception 10 years ago. A blend of 39% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Côt, 11% Gamay and 10% Pinot Noir. The success of Béton is attributed to the desire of so many to have an intriguing and food-friendly, yet never overly heavy or boozy red wine as a mainstay at the dinner table.
