A very pale platinum colour, with gold and green highlights, limpid.
The aromas are both intense and complex. They show great maturity, dominated by fruit, and also reveal a touch of menthol, musk and spices
The mouth shows plenty of fullness and weight. The roundness and suppleness marries remarkably well with this wine’s freshness, assuring good all round structure. The brisk finale is underlined by nuances of pineapple and pepper.
This Sancerre white comes from our exclusively hand-harvested limestone-clay vineyards in Chavignol, on the famous "Cote des Monts Damnés", so named by our ancestors because it was a very awkward slope to work. However, it does have an exceptional terroir and ideal exposure. Excellent drunk young, it will open up over time, and age without effort. It will combine perfectly with all types of fish, and white meats in sauce.
