Lighter and more discreet than Guiberteau's top-tier Cabernet Francs but still dark and precise. Raspberries, forest berries, and violets on the nose with clear green notes — tomato leaf, green bell pepper — and a thread of warm spice. Slender and juicy on the palate, tight dry finish, excellent balance.
Romain Guiberteau farms biodynamically in Saumur and is among the most respected Cabernet Franc producers in the Loire. Les Moulins is a single-vineyard bottling from a named site — unoaked, built for early drinking, and a direct expression of place without the weight of new wood.
