The label refers to a chanson à boire (drinking song), and what’s in the bottle is 100% Gamay, grown in France’s Fronton region around 25 miles north of the city of Toulouse. This Gamay is light on its feet and cheerful on the palate. This wine is a juicy red where the Gamay is lively and fruity. This red wine has a very rich nose with delicate notes of cherries, clove, pepper, earth, leather and tobacco. The palate is easygoing, with soft and pleasant tannins. Moderate alcohol. Fresh acidity.
