2019 Powell & Son Red Blend “Riverside,” Barossa Valley, Australia

The Riverside GMS is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre and 10% Shiraz. Intense in its perfumed aromas of cherry liqueur and blackberry compote, with notes of spice and anise. The palate is voluptuous and supple, with the Grenache component shining through. Intense flavors of dark fruits predominate, are complemented by notes of baking spice, lavender and mint followed by velvety tannins providing a backbone to carry the flavors through to the finish.
