2019 Favia Carbone Red Wine, Napa Valley, California

A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot

Aromas of ripe black fruits, baking spices, and graphite are complemented by notes of orange blossom, red currant, cardamom, and fresh blueberry. On the palate there is a wonderful balance, subtle power, and a confident length, with flavors of raspberry, Luxardo cherries, pan grillé, and cocoa powder. This wine will certainly continue to open with time, but in such a special vintage, there is really no reason to wait.
