Located a stone's throw from some of the right bank's most prestigious estates, the commune of Fronsac represents phenomenal quality and value for money with ripe Merlot thriving in the rich clay and limestone soil. Château George 7 is certainly one to watch for the future and the exceptional vintages are well worth snaffling away for a few years yet. Lovely teasing aromatics of blackberry and ripe plum. Star anise brightens a well poised, ample palate of fleshy damson and sloe.
