Intense brilliant red ruby color. The nose is lively, very intense notes of blackberry and balsamic notes. The palate has good structure with very elegant tannins balanced by a good acidity. The finish is extremely persistent. A dose of new oak and pipe tobacco marks the aroma here, backed by flavors of black cherry, plum and iron. Firm and compact on the finish, with a lingering essence of woodsy, tobacco and spice elements.
