Founded in 1854, Scarpa is a traditional producer based in the heart of Monferrato. The town of Nizza, where the winery is based, is the most important named cru for barbera and the wines are a direct reflection of that legacy. La Briccorosa smells of flowers, iris, chamomile and carnation without ever being intrusive. On the palate a load of very well compacted tannins, lots of vinous fruit, nice acidity. The wine recalls the Piedmontese landscape at every stage of its long journey.
