2018 Paolo Scavino Carobric Barolo, Piedmont, Italy

Made with fruit from Rocche di Castiglione, Cannubi and Bric del Fiasc, this wine needs a few moments to open before the aromas come into full view. Sweet cherry, earth, licorice and  rusty nail rise from the top, and on second nose, some truffle as well. I like the vibrant, lifted character of this wine. Ready to drink on hold 

This Barolo represents the history and tradition of blending different crus of Nebbiolo in order to create a house style.
