Pintia has been going through a transformation in the last couple of years. The wine is a bit less extracted and not all of it goes through malolactic in oak. The results have been delightful, with the wine showing the power of Toro and yet great elegance and freshness. The 2017 Pintia is ripe, juicy, round and powerful at 15% alcohol. It matures in new and used oak barrels for 12 months.
Aromas of violets, tart red fruits, and forest floor. On the palate, plummy baked dark fruit, hints of cedar, and a distant smoke on the horizon. A powerful, seductive wine that speaks volumes of its unique terroir.
