Wine produced from grapes picked by hand, exclusively grown in the family's vineyards. The wine was fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for six years on lees in Mulberry and Acacia casks.
The Klinec family with commitment, passion and sacrifices has been producing wine for a century in the small Slovenian town of Dobrovo, a few steps from the Italian-Slovenian border. They are one of the most staunchly biodynamic farming families, making all their own preparations and compost with the full biodynamic cycle. This part of the Italian/Slovenian border has become associated with the resurgence of skin macerated white wines, what we now call orange wine. Though the Klinec family uses this technique the wines are not dominated by it their mineral core means that despite the extended skin maceration the wines all feel fresh and vibrant even with ageing.
